Lessons and Guiding

LESSONS are not limited to those who are beginners. Both of the schools we have recommended below provide experienced instructors that will take your level of sliding to new levels. If you are prepared to invest a little bit of effort into consciously improving your skill level, you will be amazed at what a diiference it will make. We cannot recommend it enough.

GUIDING we split into two categories.
Firstly within resort. "The early bird gets the worm" combined with the advantage of using local knowledge to enable you to poach a few fresh lines in new surroundings each day. Secondly OUT THERE (ie not within the resort), in the big stuff and no one knows this terrain and has spent more time there than Dave Enright (Evergreen) whom is undisputedly the most experienced extreme terrain foreign guide of the valley/country.

Evergreen Outdoor Center

Evergreen Outdoors focus on customer fun and enjoyment.

Adults or children, from complete beginners to powder-seekers Evergreen teach skiing, snowboarding, telemarking and powder riding.
Instructors are native English speakers certified to teach and to perform first aid. Evergreen chooses instructors who have experience in guiding and teaching, who are responsible, and fun to be with. They offer the next steps for any skier snowboarder and are based at Happone. Arrangements can be made to have lessons elsewhere but stipulations do apply.

Evergreen off piste guiding is Hakubas most experienced and longest running operater. Get the feel about the powder thing via one of their powder clinics or for those with depth and experience drop straight into one of their backcountry tours.*
THE EVERGREEN POWDER CLINIC is ideal for medium to advanced riders to receive high riding yield combined with inside knowledge to enjoy Hakuba's world-class powder. Those with little powder experience it is an opportunity to get a taste of off pistes / powder riding.

* Customers level and experience will be analyzed.

Powder Clinics are offered daily from December 15th through to the end of the season at Happo-one. It encompasses lift access terrain both inbounds and side-country.
